Masjid Al-Haram

Prayer in the Haram boundaries is equivalent to a hundred thousand prayers.

It is valid as long as the lines of the prayer are visible and reach the hotel Musallah’s.

And Allah knows best.

Tawaf is an act of worship that draws a servant closer to Allah.

Allah SWT said: “and circle i.e. perform Tawaf around the house” {22:29}

Abdullah ibn Umar narrates: That the prophet ﷺ said:

 “Whomsoever circles the Ka’ba seven times (Tawaf) then prays two Rak’ahs will have a reward as if he has freed a slave. A man does not raise his foot and bring it back down except that a good deed will be written for him, a bad deed will be erased, and he will be raised in ranks.”

Know my brother or sister, that the severity of missing prayer is great anywhere you may be. Prayer is what differentiates you from a disbeliever, to the extent some of the scholars have ruled such individual to being outside of the fold Islam. No doubt that being in the holy city makes the matter even more dangerous, the sin is more grave, and the punishment is severe.

Imagine the virtue of one prayer in Makkah already being equivalent to a hundred thousand prayers, and rather than accumulating this virtue and reward, you’re in a state where your Islam is at jeopardy.

No doubt that acts of goodness are multiplied, even more so during virtues times and in holy places.

As for sins, they are not multiplied however, the magnitude of sinning in a holy place such as Makkah and Madinah, is greater and more severe than sinning and falling into disobedience elsewhere.
